Best Detergent?!?!
DD is now 6 months old and eating foods (fruits, veggies, oatmeal, etc.) Despite always wearing bibs while eating, the top of her shirts (neckline) always get stained/discolored. What detergent have you found to be best for getting out food stains on children's clothes? Powder? Liquid? Brand? Also, what temperature do you wash clothes in? I'm thinking warm would help get stains out better, but I'm so afraid of her clothes shrinking -- she already goes through sizes so quick! HELP!

Best Detergent?!?!
I use all free and clear and shout as pretreatment for stains--depending on the stain I may also use oxyclean or dawn dish soap--I add the ixy clean to the wash and I put the dawn directly on the stain.

Re: Best Detergent?!?!
I always wash in cold and have used the Costco Brand Eco friendly and All Free and Clear with success in getting stains out.

Best Detergent?!?!
I use tide free and clear on a cold cycle.
For stains, I treat with the oxiclean gel stick. I then check to see if the stain is out before I put it in the dryer. If it did not come out, I line dry it and repeat the process. I've gotten out almost all DS' stains using this technique.

Re: Best Detergent?!?!
We used all free and Clear for awhile and I thought it was awful at getting out stains and smells (her clothes still smelled like the food she ate!). I switched to dreft for older babies and so far so good. I pretreat stains with dreft stain removers.

Best Detergent?!?!
I used kirlkland (costco) free and clear and copious amount of spray and wash or shout or whatever stain remover costco sold. My DS spit up like crazy. Still at 16 months he makes a mess. I wash on hand wash cool.

I use a bar of soap call the dress laundress. You can get on Amazon. I spot treat with that and practically everything comes out. Then use trader joes detergent. We don't use chemicals.

Free and clear.arm & hammer with free & clear oxy clean. Every load I now use the extra soak load and I found that gets out stains.
