I would get a few different bottles because you won't know what your DC will like. I made the mistake of registering for only the Dr Browns which DD hated. We now use playtex drop ins which are great & easy clean up.

I'm glad this came up. I only registered for the Dr Browns too but recently someone recommended the playtex drop ins - I guess I'll put a few of each on there and see which one is the winner??

Re: Best Bottles

I registered for the Dr Browns and DS hated them. I tried the avent and tommie tippee and he didnt like any of those. He now uses Playtex Ventaire and loves them. It really will depend on what your DC prefers.

I would just get one in the beginning - I had to try 4 different bottles before we found one that DD liked (which is the lansinoh)

That's what I got. They're supposed to be good for BF babies. Hopefully LO likes them.

I got Dr. Browns. Only bc DH and I both had colic. Most are still in the packages so we can exchange if needed.

Re: Best Bottles

I have loved the playtex drop ins. I used with my older 2 and plan on using for this one as well.

Re: Best Bottles

With dd I got Dr. Browns but ended up using the Medela bottles that came with my pump. She took both of them fine, we didn't notice any difference in gas (she had trouble with gas and spitting up), and the Dr. Browns were a PITA to clean. Everyone likes something different so it's nice to pick up one or two of a few different kinds or at least leave most in the packages until you know for sure what you will use.

Thanks for the responses. So what should i do for registry purposes? I want to be prepared if in the event DS doesnt like one. Also did you get only plastic or glass too?

Re: Best Bottles

I registered for the sample box of Born Free and I have a sample of Avent that my doctor gave me. I remember my cousin using the Playtex when he was a baby and thought they were great!!! I didn't register for them because of the extra expense of the bags.
