Berkshires, MA

DH & I are going to the Berkshires this weekend for a free weekend from BIL's timeshare. We heard there isn't much to do up there, has anyone been? Is there anything to do at all?

Update: Everyone was right there is NOTHING to do here. I have no idea why anyone would vacation there. On a positive note we found lots of very good high quality restaurants that didnt break the bank. Mazzeos, Flavors of Mayalsia, Baba Louie's even the Old Country Buffet were all great options. We visited a couple of local organic markets and farm stands but other than that we couldnt really figure out what to do. We made the best of it, but we wouldn't go back.

During the fall and winter, there are ton of activities as that is when we have gone. I'm not so sure about summer.

That's what everyone keeps saying! I bet it was for the same time share too. Oh well, the entire weekend will cost us about $60 and we get a free $100 gift card so I guess we'll just be relaxing by the pool the entire time.

Re: Berkshires, MA

Whenever we go to places with nothing to do, I always look for wineries, microbreweries, historical sites, shopping and restaurants to occupy myself.

We are going to the Berkshires for a few days next year so I'd love to know what you did - if you found anything!Chat Icon

We're going this weekend, so I'll update after! I found a bunch of good restaurants and farmers markets too so hopefully that will keep us busy

Re: Berkshires, MA

I would have went to Tanglewood. It is beautiful and the concerts are just wonderful!!!

There are also alot of quaint little towns to walk through

There is also Williamstown to see plays

Jacob's pillow to see dance shows

It is very cultural. I love going to the Berkshires.
