benadryl question
So I went to Target to get some to have in case of an emergency, but the children's box it says not to use for DC under 2. Is there one for infants/toddlers that I didn't see or will the Dr tell you how much to use?
TIA

Re: benadryl question
There is no Benedryl approved for regular use in children. That said, it should ALWAYS be kept in the house for acute allergic reactions. The doctor will tell you the dosage, but generally I give a half a teaspoon for an allergic reaction.

Re: benadryl question
The children's liquid benadryl allergy is the one that you would use. It says on the box not to use in children under 2, but it is the one that you should keep in the house in case of emergencies. The dose is weight dependent, and your pediatrician will tell you the correct dose.

Re: benadryl question
My son is 14 months and ~26-27 lbs. The dr. said his dose is 3/4 teaspoon.
