Belly button piercings anyone?

I'm going on 15 weeks this weekend and decided it was time to take out my belly button piercing. I've had it for 8 years so it's pretty strange to see nothing there but a little hole. It's going to take some getting used to, but the skin was definitely stretching there.

Did anyone remove a piercing when they were pregnant and how soon does it close up. I'm sure I will not ever re-pierce it but just wondering how fast yours closed, thanks

Mine closed within days. I even tried to wear the pregnancy piercing, but that only lasted until I was 30 weks or so.

I took mine out pretty soon after I found out I was pregnant but it never closed. I put it right back in afterward and it was fine.

I wear a PG belly ring. Some of my album pics have it in them. Kinda looks like antennae coming out. I am 28 weeks and its fine. Very flexible and it doesn't hurt.

After 8 years I doubt it's going to close that quickly. But it sounds like you want it to. If so, take it out now.

I have had mine 11 years and I am hoping I can get it right back in afterwards like most of my friends did but honestly with my bb pushing out it kinda looks closed to me.

mine still looks open and i doubt it will close. a few years ago i took it out trying to close it up and it never did so i ended up putting it back in. it looks so stretched, i hope i dont have a huge gaping hole after all this.

BFP. I have a hole there but I doubt it's
still open.

i took mine out with my first pregnancy and after i gave birth i could still put it in, but it's out again with this pregnancy.

It couldnt close up

thanks girls, I definitely loved having it in, just am concerned the little piercing hole would stretch open too much which would be gross, so maybe after this pregnancy I can put it back in

i still have mine in - it hasn't stretched at all, but i do have a pregnancy barbell (like leslie has) to put in when it does start stretching.

I took mine out before I got pregnant...I had it for almost 8 years too, so it was very weird not seeing it there anymore...

and hence the stretch marks have arrived, so I will never be showing off my belly to anyone besides DH ever again...oh well.


eta: the scar is stretching now too, its pretty

I took mine out a few weeks ago and the hole is still there, looks like it's not really closing. I had this piercing 10 years, so maybe it won't close. I heard that belly button piercings can last the longest and not close up .
