I took mine out about 6 weeks ago around 10 wks. The piercing place said its best to do it before your 5th month if you plan on taking it out.

I changed mine for a PG belly ring at 27w.....try to do it sooner if you can, or just take it out altogether if you don't feel like replacing it. I did it when I need it, not before I needed it. I am a dumbazz and waited until it started to bother me, meanwhile I had the PG one for months beforehand.

I didn't have to take mine out til I was about 8 months PG..... depends on your stomach and how big you've gotten.

With my first I took it out about 3 weeks before delivering.
With my second I had to take it out around 18 weeks.

I took mine out at around 8 weeks. I figured I might as well do it before my belly started growing. Don't worry, it doesn't look nearly as bad as I expected as your belly grows. I'm at 32 weeks and you can hardly see it.

There are lots of websites that sell them. I thought about doing this, but decided against it because it would look silly popping through my maternity shirts.

I was about 25 weeks with my DD when it got too uncomfortable. The skin around it started to look bruised & it stayed that color for a while.
