Bellini furniture vs. Behrs

For those who have priced out baby sets from these two places, were you happy with their prices, service and product overall?

I went today to Bellini and I fell in love with two sets and their accessories were so nice. I just felt they were very pricey. The furniture looks very sturdy and looks like it will last a long time.
They say their furniture is exclusive only to them.

I have heard mixed reviews about Behrs. I am going to go myself and check them out tomrorow anyway.

Who did you end up going with?

No doubt that Bellini furniture is beautiful but there are lots of other brands that are just as nice and sturdy for a lot less money. I originally ordered from Bellini and then changed my mind a few weeks later. When I tried to cancel the order (which I was told I could do) they were very nasty to me. I changed my mind after seeing a set at behrs for less $ that I actually liked more. I just couldn't justify spending $900 on a crib. I bought munire furniture from behrs for ds and have been very happy with it. I just ordered another set of munire furniture for the new baby and was very happy once again with the service at behrs. Btw.......munire is actually better rated than Bellini.

We ordered from Bellini's. Their furniture is not like any other. This furniture is lifetime. But its all in what you want.

We got the Debby Crib & the Jessica furniture in Mahogany. OMG IM SO HAPPY & IN LOVE WITH IT!

I went to both stores to check out the goods and price out their items - I was looking for a crib, chest of drawers, and dresser/changer. I fell in love with one set at Behrs (April by Creations) and only "liked" one set from Bellini. The fact that their furniture is exclusive to them means nothing to me, other that the fact that when they say it, it sounds a bit pretentious. And the Bellini set was $600 more than the Behrs set.

I went to both Bellini and Behrs.

Fell in love with a set from Bellini but almost when I saw the price of what we wanted!!

Then we went to Behrs, fell in love with a set & the price! The quality is sturdy and the set is just beautiful!

I'm very happy with Behrs and don't regret our decision!

I went to Bellini expecting to be super impressed and I really was underwhelemed. I dont think the quality is great and for what they charge you could get better quality furniture at behrs thats not made in china.

I bought a set from Bellini for DS a few years ago. It was well made (all wood contruction, etc) .. but overall I was not impressed with it.
The mahogany stain on the dresser rubbed off, my son chewed the crib railing (which I couldn't find a teething guard to fit)
For the amount of money it cost, the stain should not have worn off...

I ended up getting his big boy set at gothic.

This time around I chose another manufacturer for the crib & changing table and down the line will add pieces as DD gets older.

With DD2 we got bellini, with DD1 we got a similary priced company and I can tell you that the difference between Bellini and my first DD's set is very evident..the way its put together is very very sturdy...I've looked at pieces at Behrs and found it to not be as well made, JMO

I ordered my furniture from Bellini. There furniture is so well made and I fell in love with a crib and set there. I was worried about the price as well and wasn't sure if I would be able to order from them but they were running a sale and everything priced out to about the same price as everything at Behrs so I was very happy.

I got a munire set at behrs and have been very happy thus far. The quality is great and their delivery and service was also!

I thought that Bellini would be amazing for the prices but I didn't love anything.. found a set at Behrs that I loved.. but wound up buying the same set somewhere else cheaper.

So most of you had more cons than pros' about belllini and some cons for behrs as well. Hmm, I am just so confused. I even talked to a close gf of mine today and she told me don't buy from behrs b/c when she bought her set for her DD who is now 6 yrs old, the set came damaged and then was still not repairable and they made her keep it with no chance of return or anything. IDK...

I am on the fence about both now.. but seriopusly, where else is there besides these two to go to on LI?

I've tried buy buy baby and babies r us.. and I personally just didn't like any of there sets.
