I LOVED BELIZE. I went for my honeymoon so there were no kids at the place I stayed at except the owners kids.
If you are looking for big resort all inclusive type place then its not for you.
Its very safe, they speak english and the currency is 1:1.

I'm honestly just looking for a nice beach hot place to go in January. I prefer all inclusive since I'm taking my kids but it's not a deal breaker.
Would love to try something different.

I am sure it will be warm and nice but the airfare is expensive to Belize even off season. I would do Tulum Mexico or Costa Rica if you want something different.
Both places you can fly for 1/2 the price of Belize.
