Being a BM after giving birth... ughh

So I am a BM in my friends wedding October 27, I am due August 27. I am freaking out! I have the dress and it was ordered 2 sizes larger, but I am stressing that I won't be able to fit into it by the time her wedding comes!

Did anyone else go through this or is going to go through this?

The one good thing is that it is a very popular dress and Davids Bridal told me that if I feel after I have the baby that there is NO way I am going to fit into it by October, I can order a bigger size and exchange since it will not be discontinued by then.

I gained 48 lbs with DS in total and with this one I am gaining less at this point, but I am still worried.

Don't stress! You will be fine!

My BF had twins in June (she was 130 lbs and weighed in at 204 lbs the day she gave birth) Granted a lot of that was water but either way she was in a size 10 by September.

Originally she was a size 6.

I ordered her a 14 thinking she would be big & we could take it in.

She could have fit into a 8!

On a side note, she was planning a wedding for Nov. 10th and I was her MOH. I'm due Oct. 16th!!!

She called it off but I was freaking for a while!!!

My MOH was in my wedding about 1.5 months after giving birth to her first baby. She ordered a dress two sizes larger, mostly to accommodate bigger boobage. In any case, it fit great. I know it was hard for her to be bigger than her normal weight at the wedding, so I appreciated her being such a trooper even more. IMO she looked beautiful as ever!!!

I have a similar situation, but I have my brother's wedding 6 weeks after my due date. I just ordered a really big dress. They'll make it fit! I am not thrilled that I will probably be much bigger than normal, especially since I gained 42 pounds so far. There's not much I can do about it now.

I am in a wedding Sept 1st & my DD is June 8th. I also ordered the dress 2 sizes larger, and I am a little nervous that it will look like shyte

I just wanted to say that I think it is so sweet that you were so aware how she was feeling! I was recently in a wedding party at 22 weeks and reading this I wish someone would have expressed this concern for me and it was a family members wedding!

Anyway, my situation was slightly different because I was in the wedding while pg. I had to order the gown while only 6 weeks pg and it was not maternity. Well I was advised to order it three sizes bigger and extra long - let me say BE CAREFUL ordering too big. The gown cannot always be fixed to look right. Let me say that after spending more money on alterations than the actual gown it still looked terrible. When you get it bigger and it is not maternity the whole dress is bigger and became completely out of proportion to my body. I looked so much worse in the gown than in anything else I own. So just a warning - bigger isn't always the way to go because its not just the belly that is bigger

Deep breaths...you would be surprised what a difference 2 months makes. I was due 4 1/2 weeks before weeks before I was in my cousin's wedding. When they fitted me at 5 months PG, I hadn't gained any weight so I was terrified--FYI--I gained 52 pounds total!!!!

I wound up getting a dress 3x my normal size

I had the baby 3 weeks early so I was just about 8 weeks PP when I had the wedding. I had my MIL alter my dress like 3 days before the wedding and was pleasantly surprised that I had lost almost 30 pounds. I was still "fat" by my standards, but she cut a lot of the dress out (we had a forgiving empire waist dress that worked out perfect)

I was due on Tues and I am a BM on July 21st. I ordered 2 sizes up and I am still worried I wont fit in it--actually, what worries me more is that I will be leaking breastmilk!!
