Been in our home almost a month.....
We have this one part of the lawn where it is grass (not weeds per se) but a different type of grass that grows 5-6x faster than the rest of the lawn. DH has been trying to take care of it as quickly as it grows, but its a hassle mowing the lawn 3-4x a week...
How often do you mow your lawn?
Also - we have a pool - and being in the house almost a month, I went to turn on the filter today... tada.... NOTHING TURNS ON! I unplugged it and plugged it back it and then hit the switch... NOTHING...
Any pointers to troubleshoot a pool filter (above ground..)... TIA

Sometimes you have to "prime" the pump by putting a hose into the skimmer (the part that leads into the pump) and turning the water on. This forces water into the pump.

For the pool maybe there is a breaker that needs to be switched on? That happened to us when we first opened our pool after buying our house.
ETA: We mow the lawn once a week.

You probably have crab grass. We have the same thing in certain spots-grows so fast. Try getting crab grass killer.
