So who's going this weekend to watch it. I have tix for 7pm with my girls and we're all very excited. I think I am more though.

Re: Beauty & The Beast
It's impossible to get decent seats for at my theater so I will wait a few weeks. DD won't know the difference if we see it now or next month. She has no idea when it's coming out to be honest. Unless I tell her. Personally I wouldn't want to see it- but I will go for her. I am not a fan of any Disney movies. never have been to be honest.

We are going tomorrow! I bought the tickets online early last week and there were very few seats left. It's crazy.

Re: Beauty & The Beast
The problem is too - you can't buy that far in advance. So if I wanted to say get really good seats and buy for next month, you can't.
They only release the seats a few days out Annoying

I just tried to buy tix for this weekend and there were only single seats available at area theaters for child-friendly time slots.

We went last night! It was AWESOME! Loved it!
FYI, when movies have a Friday release, they are always showing on Thursday evening. We went at 6:50 last night. Beat the crowds!

Since this is a "big" movie, they had a special pre-sale so you could buy tickets more than a week in advance. But usually it's a few days in advance like you said with regular movies.

I missed that. I went on today and they only have for this weekend and maybe next week. Next weekend isn't even showing up yet. (we can't go next weekend anyway but I'd like to be able to buy in advance- I mean the theater must know they will still be playing the movie next weekend and beyond- it's a big one that will probably be in the theater for several weeks)

I only do showcase cinemas where you can reserve your actual seat (and recliners). So for farmingdale multiplex, Broadway mall, holtsville

Yes my theater- Regal Ronkonkoma is reserved ahead recliners- but when I go to their site it directs me to buy tickets on an outside site like Fandango or a few others. So I always purchase through Fandango

Yeah showcase cinemas aren't avail to purchase through fandango. You have to do it on their own website.
Your best bet is to check fandango Tuesday night, Wednesday morning when they release the next week of tickets including next weekend

Re: Beauty & The Beast
Well I just finally got around to looking for tickets (lazy). Yes, tickets were on sale weeks in advance with cool cute cups to go with it here no less. But I just wasn't motivated. Don't know why. Meh.
Today so much is out!!!! It's my husband's birthday Iron Fist is on Netflix Beauty and the Beast. Ugh!
So I just got us tickets for 3D tomorrow at our favorite place so we have lunch. I heard you guys finally got an Alamo Drafthouse. Whoohoo! I live 5mins from mine
The new thing is this other place that has reclining seats. I'm not a big fan as the wait staff and others get in my line of sight when I am leaned back and they walk in their rows. I prefer my seated cushy seats with the table in front of me and wait staff one step lower with the next row a step further still. Clear line of sight.
I'd say 80% of the theatres here are advance reserve seating so you know where you sit before you buy. No rushing to the movies to wait in stupidly long lines and push and shove. I don't miss those days. Plus it's nice to know where you want to sit.

I won't ever go to a movie again that I cannot reserve my assigned seat ahead of time. No rush to get there. Even better I'll never have to deal with those people that come right as the movie is starting and asking everyone to shift down one so they can sit in the perfect seats.

Right!? I think it's Regal who still won't move over to Reserve seating. Dumb! So guess where I won't go unless it's a mid day, skip day with my kid? Seriously annoying as hell! Everyone else does.

ACTUALLY.. It's the same price if not a few cents cheaper here to get reserve seating vs herd seating. Dumb right?
Basically $10 a ticket for most places no matter what.
I pay extra for Alamo Drafthouse because I can eat and drink at my seat (liquor, wine or beer) and dang the food is awesome! But it's only an extra buck so meh.
