beach house rental?
anyone have a recommendation for a beach house rental for 15 people (adults and kids)? my friends and i have been looking into rehoboth. we'd prefer walking distance to ocean and with a pool. anyone know anything about fenwick? it came up in our search since it's close to rehoboth.

I've stayed in both but in between them is Bethany Beach and that is my ideal for a family. Fenwick borders Ocean City which is super commercialized but we rented there for years and loved it. Rehoboth is nice but can be congested. Sea Colony is a condo resort in Bethany and its my kids favorite place to stay. Bethany has a more quaint feel and the boardwalk isn't as crazy.

beach house rental?
We just rented one in Southern Shores. It was ocean front with pool. 7 beds 6 bath.
Further drive than Del beaches but we loved it.

My parents live in Bethany. Fenwick is nice, beautiful beaches, but there is no real town. It straddles the highway (not a real highway, but a 4 lane very busy road.) They have built up a lot there, but you would be crossing the highway to do anything. There is miniature golf, movies, watersides, etc, and lots of restaurants. Bethany has a small town feel. A very small boardwalk you can walk, nightly entertainment, movies on the beach, bonfires on the beach (Fenwick and Rehoboth do all this too) and a town you can really walk around. Rehoboth is nice, but very crowded and commercialized. If you got beachside in Fenwick you'd be okay, just know you would walk across the highway to activities. If you did Bethany, you'd want to be in town, but even if you were a little further out, there is a trolley that will take you every where.

Rehoboth and Dewey are great. We have a beach house down there and try to go as often as possible!
