BD after HSG
I am getting bloowork done (CD3) tomorrow and having a hsg on the 9 (CD 9), but I couldn't get a follow up appoitment to go over the reults until the 24th. I hate that I have to wait that long.
But anyway, can I BD btwn the HSG and the follow up appoitment? I know I am not supposed to have unprotected sex before the HSG, but it is ok to have it after, right? I don't want to miss a whole month of trying.

Yes, definitely. This is a great time to try because your tubes are nice and clear. I was told to wait a day before BD. Good luck!

They gave me the unofficial results right there during the test. They actually turned the screen so I can see the dye going in and through my tubes... You may know the results before that later appt you made...
And they told me to BD after (I waited a day until I stopped leaking ). They say it increases your chances bc it blows open your tubes.

ITA! You may not have the blood work results but your dr will most likely go over the results of the HSG immediately following the procedure. And for some reason your chances of getting PG after the HSG are higher, so definitely take advantage.

Definitely BD!! We did two days after my HSG and I ended up getting my BFP (after 13 cycles trying)! I truly believe the HSG had something to do with it

I actually got PG the cycle after my HSG. Strangely the doctor who did it said everything looked totally clear. Then my RE and my OB both called me a week later to say they actually saw a polyp and wanted to remove it (bc they thought it could be responsible for my MCs) but said it was fine to go ahead and try again. Well, it worked and I'm now 14 wks...

I just had a HSG on tues and I still have cramping and some bleeding. Is that something that you girls experienced?
It was fine the day I had it and the next day but for some reason I am in more pain today wondering if I should call the MD or am I being a worry wart?

Seriously how did you watch werent you in alot of pain? They said it would be uncomfortable but (not to scare anyone) for me I couldnt concentrate on anything.

I was very uncomfortable for a couple days after my HSG and I had bleeding the day of and "spotting" a couple days after. I got pg the 2nd cycle after my HSG.

Yes, totally BD after the HSG. They told me one tube was blocked but I should give it a go anyway. That was the only time I have ever been pregnant (I did have a m/c but that is due to my bad eggs). But, I always tell everyone you never know. Actually, we only BD once on CD14, so I thought, no way could it happen and it did. And it turned out it came from the side that was blocked, which wasn't blocked anymore. Either due to spasm of the tube or it really did unblock it.
