BBB vs BRU
DH and I are planning to go to register this weekend. BBB is closer and carries more items instock, but BRU has some of the same things as BBB for cheaper. DH would prefer BRU cause we have a lot of family out of state and half of them have never heard of BBB. I would prefer BBB because I like to go to the store and see things in person and try them out. A couple of things I saw at BBB I would love to add to my registry aren't available in BRU stores. I would prefer to only register at one of them because I am already registered some place else and I don't want to register at more than 2 places.

BBB vs BRU
I would register at BBB. I have heard so many horror stories about registering at BRU and it was just one less stress to worry about. BBB was AMAZING with customer service and you can even make an appointment for someone to walk around and help you if you need help.
We have family out of state as well and I ended up registering at Target as well. I know you only want to register at one place though. I did a lot of it online so I didn't have to go to the store.

Re: BBB vs BRU
Thanks. Has anyone else noticed that both stores have a lot of the same items but BBB seems to be about 20% more?

I would agree that BBB does tend to be a little more expensive, but they will accept coupons for Bed bath and beyond.
I only know of 2 BBB locations on LI, the one closest to my home is 20 miles away. If I were a guest at your baby shower, I would look at your registry online and then go to BRU (less than 1/4 mile from home) to purchase a gift. I hate shopping online and want to purchase an item for a shower - usually at the last minute.
You can look at items in 1 store and put them on a registry at another store online.

Re: BBB vs BRU
I am registering at BRU because there is no BBB near my the nearest one is 40 mins away. It is going to be easier for me in the long run. I have not had any bad experiences with the one by my place just yet ***fingers crossed*****

Re: BBB vs BRU
We are in a similar situation because I love BBB and not really a fan of BRU but we have lots of family who live OOS where they can't easily get to a BBB.
Based on the negative comments I've heard from friends about BRU, I decided I'll be making my entire registry from BBB (and perhaps some on Amazon). If people OOS wanna get us something from the registry, they can use the website. If not, it's not like they must use the registry to get us something. I have a feeling a lot of those people (like my DH's aunt) would not use the registry anyway because they didn't for his cousins who had babies.

Re: BBB vs BRU
I registered at both. Bbb was so much easier and customer service was great! Plus they take bed bath and beyond coupons and or competitors coupons as well so it evens the prices out. Plus the BRU by me had nothing I really wanted. But figure people can look online and decide on their own

BBB vs BRU
Same dilemma here. I HATE BRU but it is truly more convenient for people and it is true, many items are cheaper than at BBB. Soooo..we are registering at both but the majority of items will come from BRU although I just love everything about BBB.
