Bay Window treatments

For those of you with a bay window...what do you have on it?

I am stumped for ideas other than vertical blinds.

Re: Bay Window treatments

I don't have anything on the individual windows - I have sheers and a valance above the window on the actual wall.

My mom has individual pull downs on each of hers (the ones the roll up - you can buy the rods and make the curtains to match)

mom made long curtains with shears that for the most part stay open. they are pretty much ceiling to floor length...i think you saw them?

i couldn't figure out what to do for just the window, so i went this regular curtain route Chat Icon

Re: Bay Window treatments

I just have sheers underneath & then a valance & some curtains. Here is a picture from when we first moved in

Do you usually leave them open or closed? Do you get alot of sunlight in that room?

Our window is in the living room...and it gets soooo sunny during the day.

Re: Bay Window treatments

As you see it, is how it stays all day. Ours is in the living room & how our house is situated, the sun is constantly on our house. The sheers help to dim the light a bit but still allows the light in (which I like). In the winter, it holds the warm temps inside!

Re: Bay Window treatments

I bought Verticals. I thought I would hate them but I like the way they look and I like that I can block people from seeing in, since our window is in the front of our house.
