Bath fitter?
Yay or Nay? I dont want it to look like a hotel bathroom but we decided against the reglaze because of chipping. We want to be able to bath the girls in the tub so peeling wont be good and right now the tub has some rust spots. So we need something.
Any ideas of cost or recommendations?

Bath fitter?
Ive seen two bathrooms that have had it done after a few years. One it was coming loose... the other water was seeping behind it. There was water between the liner and the original tub so when you step into the shower you feel like you are on a boat! I think you are better off scrubbing your original tub down, or just having it replaced completely. Some tubs will run you under a few hundred -- it will jsut be the labor of having someone remove the old one and install the new that is $

Re: Bath fitter?
200x NOOOOO WAYYYY! we have it and I can not wait to get it done over but its our only bathroom.
I'd definitely re-glaze- my friend did this and it is cheaper than bath fitter and outlasting our bath fitter job

Re: Bath fitter?
Thanks ladies! I guess Ill take chances with glazing. We cant afford to totally redo the tub although I guess we should get estimates for that too just in case its only a bit more. Aghh I wish we were handy!

Re: Bath fitter?
I would stay away from the reglazing, we did it twice and both times it chipped within months and then peeled horribly. We have a baby and couldnt bathe her in the tub the way it was so so we got the bathfitter for the tub only bc our tub is cast iron and would cost $$$$$ to take it out on top of replacing it and we live in a co-op. If you live in a co-op I would consider the bathfitter but if its your house that you are staying in longe term I would just replace the tub.
