basement flooring q
Just was wondering what type of flooring you have in your basement? Just looking to get an idea of what material is practical and won't break the bank. TIA!

Re: basement flooring q
Laminate with a little bit of tile where the washer/dryer is.
My basement is usually bone dry so I am not worried about leaks. And if the floor gets damaged I bought the planks for real cheap so I can always just replace them.

We have carpet. we have hardwood floors everywhere else so I like to have somewhere that you can sit on the floor, crawl around with the kids and be comfy

Re: basement flooring q
Depends on where you live. If you are in an area prone to flooding - go with Tile. You can get tile pretty inexpensive - closeouts and such.
If you NEVER had a problem in your basement - Carpet is cheapest.

Berber carpet everywhere except for the tiled path where the door to the garage leads to the stairs.

Re: basement flooring q
We used luxury vinyl plank and did the job ourselves. We've had water issues in the past so carpet was out and tile was very expensive just for the installation. We get alot of compliments on it. People say it doesn't feel like a basement.
