BASAL TEMP?

Is it normal to have a waking temp. of 98 on CD 8? I am thinking it is a fluke bc CD's 5, 6, and 7 were 97.7-97.8.

Re: BASAL TEMP?

If you slept 3 consecutive hours then why wouldn't it be normal?

Re: BASAL TEMP?

I def. did sleep more than 3 - just was wondering if it was high? Last cycle I was not that high until post O? I am reading into it to much as I sit here and wait to start dinner :)

Re: BASAL TEMP?

definitely. i know some nights when it's hot out, my temp is higher. many things can affect it - environment, drinking, amount of sleep, etc

Re: BASAL TEMP?

Thank you for answering..I did have some lack of sleep this weekend (today I have a big headache and I am so sleepy!) - I also had 2 beers last night. Yes, all things that can have an impact on waking temp!

Re: BASAL TEMP?

the beers can definitely do it! i would note that on your chart so you remember (if in the future you want to look back at your previous temps)

Re: BASAL TEMP?

Thank you!!!!!! I do love a cold beer every once in a while - now when I sip one I will think how it will impact my waking temp! You learn so much about your body when you start TTC!

Re: BASAL TEMP?

Don't over analyze too much, you will drive yourself crazy.

My temps change month to month. Last month my temps were very very low but the month prior they were much higher. Also like PP said, there are other factors such as alcohol that can raise your temp bit. Nothing to worry about! Chat Icon

Re: BASAL TEMP?

TRUE TRUE! I tend to think a whole lot more about it when I am laying low...I am waiting for DH to come home so we can have dinner :) It can drive you insane if you think too much about it!
