WOW. I am not a frequent poster on these boards, I came on today because I had a little down-time at work. I have met Barbara in person. She took pictures of my son as part of the DebG thing.
From the little time that I spent with her, I thought she was a very sweet, caring person. Who else who stand in the rain on a Sunday morning taking pictures of a strangers child??
I can not believe the level that some people on this board stoop to. People get mean and down right vicious, they'll even throw someone else under the bus just to try to make their point.
I am sorry that this happened to you Barbara.

I have no idea what happened- but I just want to say that the way you took so much time out of your life to take pictures of strangers and their children for another stranger who needed some help is completely inspirational.

I think I missed a few things today-
And this thread was simply because Barb was on the phone til 1am w/ me- easing my many many different "thoughts" and then after we hung up- this amazing person decides instead of going to bed- she is gonna find me a link to give me some info on my Ryans allergy issues!
She is truely an amazing human being- we need more Barbs in this world!
I received a very disturbing FM not to long ago- and wanna know the 1st person I turned too? YEP............................... BARB- She is an all around wonderful person- and is ALWAYS there!

Sorry to barge in on parenting, not one yet
Barb, does ROCK!!!
And to think for a year and a half we lived down the block from one another and never knew it.
When I moved to the town we live in now I didn't know a soul. After all of the wedding hoopla, the move, the extreme home makeover calmed down I missed having a friend close by. My closest and longest friends are all in Nassau or off the island.
Barb, FM'ed me out of the blue one Friday afternoon inviting me to join her and the kids for pizza up in town. She didn't know me at all.
It was such a warm gesture She also invited me to mommy GTG's even though I wasn't even pg yet. We hit it off this year and I am so thankful to know her. She is a great warm and generous friend to many people.

It's funny after Barbara took Steven's pic for the DEb fundraiser and I had the opportunity to talk with her I told my niece who is the one who introduced me to LIF that Barbara was just the kindest, sweetest person and I wished she was my friend!
