Bank Apps to Deposit Checks
I know there are Bank Apps (iPhone) where you can take a picture (front and back) of check...and deposit the check.
What do you do with the actual check?
How does the check get back to the person who gave you the check?
Sorry if these are dumb questions...

You Keep the check or shread it.
The person who gave you the check gets a copy of the check ..

I bank with Chase and deposit my checks through my phone. I hold on to it until it says that the deposit has been accepted. Then I just shred them.
I haven't gotten an actual physical check back (that I've written) in a long time. They just show me the image online of the check cashed. Maybe that's how all banks are now.

Even with a paper check, I never get the actual check back anymore. An image of the check is printed on our bank statement.

I keep it in a file folder. Just in case anything were to happen, I always keep the hard copy.

I use the Bank of America App on my phone and just shred the check right after i take the pictures.
Love being able to never have to go to the bank every week anymore.

You write void across it and tear it up... I do it all the time. Never had an issue.

OMG I need this, I am the worst about getting to the bank to deposit checks! I end up finding a $20 check given to my kids six months after their birthdays!
