Re: Bahamas vs Bermuda
Are you taking a cruise or planning on staying at a hotel. If the hotel, Atlantis is very nice but it is huge and not stroller friendly. I would say the ideal age for the Atlantis is a kid over age 6. For Bermuda, I like the Fairmont Hamilton Princess. I think Bermuda is better for younger kids. There is baby horse shoe bay beach, the caves, dolphins at the aquarium, glass making, the perfumery, high tea at the princess, and watching the Dunking. I personally prefer a cruise to Bermuda. I think if you are flying then I would go to the Atlantis in the Bahamas. It has nice things to do, but I feel it is better suited for older children. Both are fun.

Re: Bahamas vs Bermuda
I have never been to Bahamas.
But I love Bermuda. DH have been there at least 8 times within the last 5 years.
It is a quick airplane ride and going through customs is easy and painless.

Re: Bahamas vs Bermuda
Also- when are you going? Bermuda has a cold season- so if you plan to go in the winter, it's not ideal

We were thinking in taking a flight there, and we're hoping to go between June and August

Not to barge in on this post but Do you think Bermuda is really a good choice for young kids. We were considering Atlantis but now I'm open to Bermuda too. My youngest would be 3 at the time of the trip and my oldest would be 8.

I agree with the PP. We went with kids 2 & 3-4 (close to 4). I would not go back until my kids were at least strong swimmers and probably preferably teens or preteens. The highlight are the HUGE water slides. For little ones, I have been to better splash parks without the price tag.
On the other hand, we loved cruising to Bermuda & I think we did that only a few months later!
