Bad news!

I might have to put ttc on hold.

I just got my test results back. My progesterone looked great it was 23.6 but for the cycle we try my doctor wants to test it again.

The bad news is two of my clotting panels came back abnormal and my doctor isn't sure what the results mean. I have an appointment Tuesday with a hematologist. My appointment is 3/1 and my fertile days should start 3/4 -3/6 give or take. So until we see what the hematologist says we have to be careful. I'm hoping everything goes okay and we can still try. Luckily I was able to make the appointment before my fertile time starts so fingers crossed we can still go for it, unless I'm sent for even more testing :(

I was told my Protein C Antigen was a little low and my C4 binding protein was low. I asked on here and didn't get any responses and google didn't really help either. So I have no idea if its something to be worried about or not.

Wish me luck please, I'm trying not to freak out or be disappointed.

Stay Positive

Thanks. I am trying. I just feel like every month it is something else. All we do is wait. Wait for results, wait for appointments. Wait to try. So it has been 3 months of worrying and waiting. I told my husband I don't know how much I can take before I want to just take a break from it all. We were so excited to try again and this is very discouraging. On top of it there is all this sadness I feel, I've been living with a hole in my heart everyday.

I know I shouldn't complain, it could be worse. It just feels like everytime I am up there is something that brings me down.

Now I have to wait until Tuesday. Ugh. More waiting!

Re: Bad news!

you should DEF see dr. braverman in woodbury. he specializes in infertility and recurrent miscarriage due to things like immunological and thrombophilic (blood clotting) issues.
when blood clotting issues cause infertility (due to poor implantation) or miscarriage, sometimes the solve is as easy as baby aspirin every day or daily lovenox injections (not as bad as it sounds).
i have a minor clotting issue and i take baby aspirin and lovenox everyday. im 22w pregnant and so far the pregnancy has been uneventful Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon .
based on what the hematologist says, assuming whatever you have is treatable, an RE can help you determine when to take what meds specifically in regards to fertility and your cycle.

you'll get through this, most of these issues are extremely treatable!! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Bad news!

I have to go to check my progesterone also this cycle. The nurse just called and say day 21, 22, or 23 of the cycle to go. Which day in your cycle did you go? I thought my dr. had said 23 when I met with him?

Good luck! I hope everything works out and is ok for you.
