Backing up files
I have an external hard drive that I use to back up my files, which are mostly pictures. Do I need to back up my back up??
Some of those pictures just exist on my external hard drive.
If yes, what do I use? Another external hard drive?

Re: Backing up files
For me, the main objective for a true backup is to have at least one copy in a different building. That way, if your house gets damaged in any way, you have a copy off-site.
It can be another external drive that you keep at work, and update regularly. It could be a Cloud storage place (Google Drive, DropBox, etc...)
Having three copies in your house won't help if there's a fire, and you lose all 3 copies.

Re: Backing up files
We have cloud storage and 2 external hard drives. One is in our fireproof safe and the other is at my DH's work.

My main one is Google Drive. I pay a little bit extra each year to increase the storage to 100GB, but you can get 15GB for free.
100GB is $2/month 1TB is $10/month
