Back from kickboxing!

First - I lived to tell about it.
Second - and Im not kidding that was harder and more exhausting than labor and childbirth.

It was TOUGH, it was NON STOP for an hour. I was IN PAIN! It was awesome though and I LOVED it. Our instructor had us doing some hardcore moves, and crazy pushups. I pushed through with only breaks for water. I have to admit though, at the very end and on my ride home, I actually thought I might throw up, it was that intense. I was home for 15 minutes and STILL trying to bring my heart rate down and catch my breath.

The instructor was an awesome guy, everyone in the class was roughly at the same level which was good and as hard as it was, it was fun and we even laughed through it.

Im DEFINITELY going back. It sucked in an awesome kind of way!

I may step it up to twice a week, and then stop doing the Jillian Michaels DVD.

omg- I thought I was the only one that got the butt kicked from kickboxing. I love it, but my instructor makes us do push ups or sit ups when we want to break for water Chat Icon

Re: Back from kickboxing!

The great thing about kickboxing is it will never get easy. It is the one workout that I do that I still have to push myself through it. It gets to be tolerable but never get easy!!!!!

I have left many a time and wanted to throw up so thats normal.

It gets very addictive which sticks cause my classes aren't cheap

Re: Back from kickboxing!

kickboxing RULES! I miss it so much! I used to do it religiously. I have to find a good class, but haven't found one since moving to NJ. I used to do DVDs instead though that kinda messed up my right hip.

keep it up! I think it's one of the best cardio workouts ever! My abs rocked from it...I really believe it does way more than burn calories!Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I called and asked about this and he said that he goes over the options with you once you come in for the 1st class.

He said that he is sure that he can work something out within my budget. You can either pay monthly or just buy a set # of classes.

Hopefully you can get more info since you have already attended a class.

Wow... that's way over my budget. I can only go 2x/wk max so hopefully there is a package for that, that will fit my budget.

Re: Back from kickboxing!

Where I go it's either $65 or $75 per month and you can go unlimited - based on the schedule but there are two classes everyday except weekends (Fri, Sat & Sun - there's only one class those days)

They are in Greenlawn. I LOVE THEM
