Back from dr.

So I went to the dr just to make sure everything looked ok after having what I think was a chemical. She took bloodwork - beta, progesterone, blood type - but she said based on my description, she thinks that there was a good chance it was a very early m/c.

In doing a pelvic exam, she said she felt a small mass on the right adnexa - which she says is not unsual and thinks it's probably bc I ovulated from that side. Does anyone know about this? But she is going to have me go for an ultrasound after my next period, just to check everything out. Has anyone ever heard of this before?? Can you get a mass like that on the side you ovulated on?

Also, she wants us to wait until after my next period to try again....which I am sooo NOT happy about!!! Do I really HAVE to wait?!?!?!Chat Icon

It sounds like your doctor is being cautious. I would go for the tests before getting too nervous - easier said than done I know. I think you are doing the right thing by taking care of yourself and not leaving things to chance.

As far as the waiting goes, it really s*cks!

Chat Icon if it was a m/c then its probably best to wait a month... I had one and my dr recommended waiting past 2 cycles..

In my experience (with anything) doctors are very cautious-- so try not to let it get to you and just see what the results are from all the tests.

I am sorry you have to wait another month Chat Icon

Yeah, I feel that my doctor tends to be conservative (not just from this experience, but based on some past stuff as well)

Let me ask this . . . if you don't wait and actually get PG again right away and then m/c again right away, are you going to feel guilty and start saying to yourself I should have waited like the MD said???
