Baby sizing question
I have been meaning to buy this but of course like everything else in life I waited until the last minute and can only find it in 3-6 month. Baby is due in the beginning of February but I thought it would be good for bringing him home and going to doctor's appointments especially since it can be cold well into March and April. Do you think he'll be swimming in it or will it be ok since he'll have stuff on underneath? Carter's makes it if that makes a difference.

Baby sizing question
I had something similiar to this that I wanted DS to wear home from the hospital but he was swimming in it (it was also 3-6 mo). It was huge (and he wasnt a small baby either). We ended up just using a lot of blankets on him.

Re: Baby sizing question
ive had my eye on that since i saw it on your pinterest. 3-6 mo might be pretty big if youre only going to use it for the first 2 months or so.
my other concern with that is it looks really thick. is it ok to use in the car seat?

Re: Baby sizing question
I just ordered this in size 6m to use for LO over the winter. sizing said that it would fit 12.5 - 16.5lbs, so figured that with clothing underneath it would be ok. so, i think you should be ok with the size you want.

It's not as thick in person as it looks in the picture. Well, the material is heavy but it's not super puffy if that makes sense.
I went to look at it AGAIN and it's really big. For some reason I thought the weight started at 8lbs but I think that is 0-3...
Lisa, I might just get something like you posted there but obv not in pink

Re: Baby sizing question
Not sure if you ended up buying the snow suit, but the pink one I got from Carter's (6m) ended up being way too big. So, now I'm going to be returning for 3 months instead.

I went and got the brown bear suit in 3 months... It's really cute!!
When I looked at the heavier snowsuit it looked huge.

Re: Baby sizing question
I think 3 months may even be big. DD is growing out of a lot of 0-3 months but things labeled 3 months are sometimes still huge. She's about 11lbs now. It's really hard to tell by the sizing label.

This was DD in the 3 month sized one, at about 7 weeks old (for perspective). She was 8lb6oz at birth:

Oh wow. Thank for sharing. Do you find that it was ok with clothes underneath? Or, should I order the NB one? I have no idea how big LO is, but will definitely need something that can last all though winter.

It was OK with clothes underneath but it's so dependent on the size/stature of your baby. Honestly it was such a mild winter I only used it maybe 3-4 times total. I never dressed her in anything bulky as a newborn - she was always in a onesie type shirt and maybe a cotton footie over it. If you're going with thicker clothing that will make a difference. Better to be too big than too small though (except you don't want it TOO big that it's too bulky with the carseat straps). It's such a guessing game, lol.

Baby sizing question
Thanks, Elizabeth!! Maybe I'll pick up a NB sized one as well and then just return whatever doesn't fit. We're only going to get use out of it for maybe 2, 3 months tops.
I just really liked that d@mned snow suit!! LOL!

totally crashing, but you dont want your DC to wear anything like that in their car seat. If you get a bundle me car seat cover there is no need to wear a jacket. However, if you are looking for them to wear it on walks and just being outside, then yes I think 3-6 will be too big.
