Baby Shower
For those of you that were involved when did you start planning yours?
Also, my mom and I are looking for something more trendy. Any suggestions? I was thinking something with a city view in Long Island City, but I have no ideas

My shower was last sunday (mar 4) and we booked the place in January. Wanted the last sunday of feb but it was already booked.
I did most of the planning although IL's paid for the venue. I got off to a late start since I had to hustle to send invites right after we booked the place.
Turned out awesome though!

We booked at the end of January/early February. We booked for April 29th. I sent out the invites less than 2 weeks ago, but the heavier more detailed planning has started in the past week.
Although, my sisters and I have been "pinning" ideas for a few months now
Damn addictive Pinterest.

I booked my place when I was only like 18-19 weeks because the month Im having it is VERY popular so I had to... The restuarant I wanted was already almost completely booked up so I jumped on it...
Otherwise I would have waited a lil longer... but if its a popular place or popular time for parties you may want to think about just booking a place early on...
I didnt start like full on planning details and registering until I was further along...

I booked mine 3 months ahead of time and the place I wanted was booked soild for the month so I had to choose their other location which only had 2 dates available! So if its a popular place, I would book asap!

Another great place with a view is the Ravel Hotel in LIC. It has a roof top restaurant right on the water with amazing views of the city.
