Baby Furniture
Where did you buy your baby furniture from? We looked at Buy Buy baby and Babies R Us yesterday. I want to go to Behr's today.
We like one set so far...the most expensive one we've seen!
Are there any other (mid range stores, we don't want to spend 4k!) for baby furniture?

We looked at BBB, BRU and Behr's. I also looked at JCP online but I decided I needed to see the furniture in person so JCP was out.
I fell in love with a set from BBB but it was pricey. We ended up with a set from BRU that I liked a lot too and we got 20% off each piece because they were having a sale.
IMO..Behr's has nice stuff but way too expensive and you can find something just as nice at BBB or BRU.

The set we liked at BBB was not in stock and said it would take 10-14weeks
we went to the manufacturer site to see if we could find a different vendor. we got lucky and found a vendor that had all pieces in stock. not only was it cheaper but we didnt get charged sales tax since we ordered it from the site
we got this set minus the armoire and night stand
purchased at crib outlet at NJ

Bambi Baby in NJ (West New York).
Great prices and choice, large showroom. We chose a Pali set and are happy with the quality and service. They are still having a sale on Pali brand furniture right now.

What about the PB/PBKids outlet in Riverhead? Do they have baby furniture there? That might be worth the trip but I would probably make a call first.

We bought our set for DS1 at Behrs. It was expensive but there were definetely less expensive options there as well.

haven't bought the furniture yet but target & walmart have some nice looking ones (on their website, at least). they have some of the brands in the store so you can see before you buy. best of all, cribs are around $250 and have good reviews.
ETA: i haven't actually gone to the stores to see anything so take everything i say with a grain of salt.

We got our set at JCpenny. I love the quality of it and you can't beat the price. We got a 3 piece set (crib, changing table/dresser, and a tall dresser) for $750. We also bought a matching bookcase for $150.

I got mine from JCPenney $950 for crib, changer dresser and tall dresser and shipped free to my house. My sister has for my nephew and the quality is outstanding very well made and sturdy

behrs is over priced, if you are looking to not spend so much i dont know if i would bother looking there.
i found online a crib i liked and then just did online searches for the best price. we ended up ordering from a site that partnered with other sites and i think we got it from cribs.com but i forget the name of the main company

We went back to Buy Buy Baby and found a set we liked just as much as the one as Babies R Us (and much cheaper!). We also have 20% off coupons they said we could use, so we're going back next week to buy.

Yep- that's exactly what they told us! Luckily, we have all buy buy baby coupons.
Wow 18-20 weeks!? I'm glad we're ordering it early then. I knew it could take awhile...but wow!

We did this two years ago when we bought all of DD's furniture. We used three separate coupons and bought three pieces. I think it depends on the store, though, so ask first. Some are "nicer" than others about it.
I love DD's furniture from BBB! I will probably be ordering a Graco crib (by LaJobi) this time for DS from Amazon unless I find something similarly priced at a local boutique just because I don't think we need a second fancy crib (I'm hoping to move DD to a toddler bed before DS moves into the nursery, but I'm not sure if that'll happen). It's actually the same company that made my fancy crib (Bonavita) but it's their budget cribs, according to Baby Bargains. Instead of $400, they're like $150!
That said, I adore the crib, dresser, and hutch set that I have for DD. I'm happy every time I enter her room! The "cheaper" stuff definitely has less of a fancy feel/look, but it works and is safe so that's the trade-off.

Yes you can use a coupon for each piece. They also cant be expired. We ordered a crib, dresser, changer and the converter rails so we used 5 coupons! We actually only had 3 with us but we can bring the other 2 when the furniture comes in and they will take it off then. I went to the bbb on old country road.

Ditto, though we're getting DD's "big girl" furniture from there.
Got our crib and dresser at BRU and it's holding up better than some friends that spent double what we did!
