My ds has baby excema. He seems to be very sensitive to j&j baby wash. Please recommend your baby soap. My ped said to use cetaphil moisturizer. Have anyone used cetaphil soap as well?

Also- is deft the best detergent to use?

I've always used Aveeno and have been happy. As for the detergent, I use either All or Tide Free & Clear.

I use Cetaphil wash on my DD, with CeraVe cream. That combo seems to work best for her.

I use All Free & Clear detergent.

DS has eczema too and I can't use anything but dove sensitive soap on him. He's been to a pediatric dermatologist that recommended I use that.

I like the california baby unscented wash and babyganics eczema lotion. DD doesn't react well to aveeno or cetaphil. I use all free and clear, I would stay away from dreft since it's scented.

My DD has had eczema since birth. She is now 3 1/2. I would never use J & J because it has sulfates. Huge fan of California Baby Super Sensitive lLine. They also make sunscreen and moisturizer. They sell it at Bed, Bath and Beyond so you can use a 20% coupon. Any detergent that is free and clear should be okay. Feel free to PM me with any questions

I agree... DD had a spot on her face when she was an infant - I applied California Baby Super Sensitive lotion to it after baths and morning and night, and it went away. We use both the body wash and lotion. Target sells them too.

We use All Clear and/or Dreft for clothes.

Thanks so much. I am going to try the California baby. He seems to really be responding well to the cetaphil lotion Thanks for the bed bath and beyond tips I have so many coupons saved for there.

I have also switched from pampers to huggies diapers because head terrible diaper rash and I have been using butt paste and changing him 10-12 times a day.

Any reccomendations on diaper brand.

Re: Baby excema

I use either Aquaphor body wash or Dove sensitive soap on my DS's skin... he has extremely dry skin that is very red in his arm & leg folds, so this was what the doctor suggesting using. She told me to stay away from Johnson's products until he gets older & his skin probably won't be as sensitive.

My DD had mild eczema and very dry skin on her cheeks and back. Once I switched to Cetaphil cleanser it's been so muh better. I use aquaphor ointment after her bath, and Eucerin Loition before bed and in between baths. Her skin has been so much better.

The only detergent that works for my DD is All Free and Clear.

Anything with scents causes her to break out.

HTH.

I've heard bad things about Huggies, we used Pampers and then switched to Luvs with no issues.

Triple Paste is awesome for diaper rash.

Re: Baby excema

I use any was without scents and made for sensitive skin. I also use Aveeno Eczema lotion daily, more now since it's getting so dry. I didn't find one brand of diapers was better but I do apply aquafor or a&d ointment with each diaper change.

Baby excema

as far as diapers, dd had a terrible diaper rash as well and i really like seventh generation- she doesn't pee through those.
i do use a pampers baby dry only at night for her, because otherwise nothing else holds.
i also like the huggies pure and natural.

Huggies were what we always used. I also applied Aquaphor as ointment every time.

Baby excema

I have excema, and cetaphil is THE BEST cream to use - it's pretty much the only thing that works on me. It's super gentle, so I'm sure it would be great for a baby.

J&J sensitive set AJ's skin off! Big time.. so much for sensitive skin huh? My doc said even the most sensitive version of J&J strips her skin. So we moved to Aveeno and really just stuck with California Baby. I HATED the price but it was the only thing (is the only thing) that works.

aquafur all over
Cerave cream for the purse
never dry off but put the aquafor on while still damp
Finally I've moved into steroids to help!
baths only every other day cold is what she prefers.

Re: Baby excema

I typically use aveeno but if she seems extra dry or sensitive, I will use the aquaphor wash.
