baby excema

my son is 3.5 months old and has a rough red patch on his face. I've been using aveeno baby excema cream and it got a little better but now it looks pretty bad again. What can I use on it?

Re: baby excema

Aveeno made my sons eczema worse. Our ped recommended CeraVe in the tub, not the lotion. It works really great. My son gets it a lot, he has allergy related eczema and this is the only thing that works on it. We also keep it at bay by using an eczema body wash/shampoo, a free and clear detergent, and by not eating dairy.

My ds is 4 months and had the same problem, Aveeno cleared it up but it came back after I stopped using it. I bought California Baby Calendra Cream and it was GONE by the next day. It is expensive but worth it. Now I use Aveeno to maintain his skin and the eczema has not come back.

Re: baby excema

We got a tub of Eucerin and it works so good! 2 days later it looked so much better. She has it on the sides of her face, arms and belly...we put it on almost everyday now as a preventative. You can also do 1% hydrocortisone. Good luck!

We use Curel Itch defense lotion. It has a little gold seal on the bottom saying something about eczema.

Aquafor here too. Use it everyday and it keeps the eczema at bay for the most part

Cerave or Eucerin cream (lotion has alcohol in it which is drying), Aquaphor, or if it's really bad, an OTC hydrocotisone cream (1%).
