Yeah the recall seems to be for older models, but i guess it is always safer to check! :)

We have this from DD. I'm assuming it is part of the recall bc she was born Nov 2011 and anything made before that is part of it. It's funny bc I always that the sun was a bit powerful when you pulled on it but never to the point where I thought it was extremely dangerous. I plan on using with DD#2 but will def. be checking it out beforehand or seeing if I can exchange it for a new one (not part of the recall).

Wow! Thank u for posting! I registered for a baby einstein one but not this one. This one just looked like it had too much going on lol but it did get great reviews

Only products made before Nov. 2011 are included in the recall, according to the company. All current inventory at retail stores is not subject to recall, the company said.

I have this one and filled out the form online and they are sending a replacement
I also read on bru that if they sell that product you can bring it to the store and they will give you store credit for the lowest selling price ( I think it was $89) if you don't have receipt
