My sister's pediatrician does it for $50 at around 5 months. Maybe yours does, too?

my daughter was 12 months and was done by a jeweler. It was at Squires in East Northport.

I did both my girls at 4 yrs. That's when my mom did my sis and I and it was something I wanted them to remember. I paid around 40.00 and did it at Claire's in the Mall.

DD was 10 months when we had it done at our pediatrician's office. It was $50 and they used sterile, surgical steel earrings. I wasn't comfortable having it done at the mall.

My DD was 8 months old. We had her pediatrician do it, and he used surgical steel posts. I'm pretty sure most pediatricians do it. Like others have said, I was not to keen on the idea of having it done at the mall. However, DSIL had her DD's done at Smithaven mall when she was 6 months and didn't have any problem.

DD was 4 months and we went to the Smithhaven mall, Piercing Pagoda, one of the booths in the middle of the mall.
They did a fabulous job and she only cried for 2 minutes. I think it cost me $30.
The only reason I went to the mall was these people do it everyday. I wasn't a fan of my ped. doing it since she doesn't do it that often enough and I was afraid that the posts would not be even. It's just as sterile and safe.

DD just got hers done- She was just shy of 6 months when it was done. The ped did it- and it was $40 for the whole thing including the earrings. I don't know if they do non-patients- but if they did, I would totally recommend them!
