Baby Boom?
Is it me, or are there crazy amounts of pregnant women this year? I wonder if the recession has made people stay in and snuggle more. I know I'm probably noticing more b/c I'm TTC, but every time I turn my head I see a pregnant woman. We've had 5 in my small office this year!

Re: Baby Boom?
funny...i think that it's more like now that you're thinking about it, you see it everywhere...sorta like when you see a car you like that you never really saw on the road before you now see them all the time...
Past recessions have always caused a slight dip in the birth rate, so i doubt it's a baby boom...but hey i could be wrong!

Re: Baby Boom?
DH & I were talking about this recently also. I thought it was just b/c we were aware of it. Now I am not sure. We were in IKEA in VA near our new apt, and I swear we saw like 12 pregnant ladies. 6 were eating ice cream cones lol.

Re: Baby Boom?
I heard when Obama was elected they were predicting a baby boom...don't ask, that's just what I heard. I have also noticed an influx, but I thought it was b/c of my age & my PG friends were my age.

Re: Baby Boom?
I read something about professional women that lost their jobs in the recession decided to use the time to start TTC and have a baby before looking for a job again...
...not sure how true that is...

It's funny you posted this. I havent seen any on the streets but everyone around me that I know is PG. I even asked my SIL if she got PG so she doesn't get laid off from work. We both have a great sense of humor.

Re: Baby Boom?
I was reading this post while waiting to be called at the doctor's office, and was like, no I don't think I've seen too many, and then as I'm leaving the parking lot I saw about 4 in the shopping center next door!
