Baby Bjorn...Is it worth it?
DD really likes being close and this seems like it will help a lot. Is it really that much better and worth the money?

Re: Baby Bjorn...Is it worth it?
I had one with my first baby, never used it. Never even thought of it with my 2nd. Now with my third, it was the first thought on my way home from the hospital SOMETHING to help me juggle the three of them at a playground (or juggle the 2, while baby is safe and not in the stroller somewhere).
I have an Infantino one that im NOt crazy about, just doesnt feel secure. and Im NOT one to splurge on things unless I REALLY REALLY feel strongly about it. Ive used the Infantino one in my backyard several times and I do plan to use a carrier at our local outings in the months to come. its a must for me. I can see it now.
and EVERY TIME Im ready to spend ANY dollar amount (unlike me) on something I luck out and still get a deal. I bought one from a mommy friend of my SIL that used hers once, brand new (and cute colors Ive rarely seen, navy with red accents), for $20, bless her
now can someone tell me how to strap this thing on ??
They have gone down in price though, no longer $100, they go for like $60 now I think.

Re: Baby Bjorn...Is it worth it?
I have a baby bjorn and i hate it! it really hurts my back. the weight is all on your shoulders. i just got the ultimate baby wrap and i love it! ds is 15 1/2 pounds, but it doesn't feel like i'm carrying anything. it's very comfortable to wear and ds likes to be in it while he didn't really like the baby bjorn. it's cheaper too, i got it at bru for $39.99. it's also nice because you can put the baby in it in 5 different positions.

Re: Baby Bjorn...Is it worth it?
I absoultely love mine. It was my savior so I could get out of the house since he didnt like to be in the stroller when up until he was about 3 months old. I still use it sometimes, I ALWAYS make sure it is sitting in the bottom of my basket in the stroller becaue I nver know. I adjust the back part so it sits right in the middle of my back and it doesnt bother me at all. DS is definitly over 16lbs and I have the Baby Bjorn.

Re: Baby Bjorn...Is it worth it?
I think it depends on the baby...at first I didn't think I'd use it at all. Now we definitely got use out of it...especially when he is having a cranky day and just wants to be held. Just put it on and can get things done. Hope that helps!

Re: Baby Bjorn...Is it worth it?
depends on the baby. DD hated the sling so Baby Bjorn was a god send. But, we also got it as a gift so i didn't have to shell out the money.

Re: Baby Bjorn...Is it worth it?
I think that I would have prefered a proper sling...I had a bjorn but never really used it. I would get an Ellaroo next time around.

I use mine all the time!! Love it!
Same here! I love taking it to family functions or where there are crowds. If she is in the Bjorn I make sure everyone is purelled up BEFORE they hold her. I learned my lesson when my MIL grabbed Grace out of her car seat the minute we came to a family function. I love that they want to hold her, but I like it when they ASK first. The Bjorn gives me control, plus DD LOVES it!!!
eta: Gosh! I sound like a control freak!

Re: Baby Bjorn...Is it worth it?
I think it is sooooo worth it!! I used mine all the time, shopping, in the house, walk to the stores, etc My hubby used it too. Great for plane rides and in the airport too. I used it last on Michael's 12 month well baby appointment and he was 20 lbs then. havent used it since bc I put him in the cart now and he walks.
but really was a godsend for us.
my sister got a cheaper one first and then bought the bjorn, if you are going to use it alot definitely go for the bjorn. can get it cheaper at TJmax and Marshalls.
good luck.
