Babies r us
ok so we all know they moved away from Amazon and have their own website - what does everyone think of it so far?
I noticed that 50% of my registry is only available in the store and the things that are available on line go "temporarily out of stock" quite often. Any idea if they are going to work on improving this?
Also I bought some stuff from my friends baby register online and it says "Unfortunately, we do not presently offer an exchange program. If you would like to exchange
an item, you will need to return it based on the instructions printed on your packing slip
and order your desired replacement item at the Toysrus.com & Babiesrus.com website."
What does that mean if I get it as shower gift and don't have a packing slip?

I think it's a big improvement over the amazon site. I only had one thing available online through amazon, but now there is lots more available. It's still not perfect though.
I would think that if you get a gift and don't have a packing slip, but the item is on your registry, that they would let you exchange it. I'm not sure though. I haven't had to do that yet.

Oh to answer Jodi .
I actually like the new setup of the registry since BRU stopped using Amazon. I like the pictures of each item on the side, etc, and I think it is easier to navigate overall..
As for what the packing slip message means - I don't know, but it definitely does not sound good. I think they are making it more and more difficult to return items if you need to, unfortunately ..

I wonder if it has something to do with your computer settings (cookies or something?) I'm not a techie so I could be wrong. I'm having no problem when I type www.babiesrus.com

Yeah....this site is a disaster and my shower is on Sat. Nice, now no one will be able to view my registry on-line. I feel like such a brat right now, but I don't want to get a bunch of things I don't need. I spent days researching every item that went on my registry!

OMG, I would be frustrated also. you are not being a brat. You put so much time into researching everything so that should be what people get you.
Maybe it is just a very temporary thing. It worked this morning some ladies said. maybe it will be back tonight.

I had the stroller Pliko on there and its not available online so I wound up switching it to BBB because I figured if someone wanted to buy it online they would have that option.. Lots of things I registered for are listed as instore only.. oh well..

Well....it's sort of working again. For example, when I look at my registry from a guests' perspective, it shows 14 items purchased. BUT, when I look at it from my perspective, it shows 24 items purchased. This site really is a disaster. I totally should've went with BBB.
And thanks girls for the comforting words. I'm sure it'll all turn out fine. I'm just an anal virgo.
