is it true that you have to return an item from babies r us within 30 days of purchase?

Yes, within 30 days WITH a receipt. They really are tough w/ their return policy.

I just registered there this past weekend and the lady helping me told me that for items that were bought off of your registery ( either with a gift receipt or they can look it up from your purchase log on your registry) that it is a 90 day return policy( some items are 45).

THE BABIES "R" US RETURN POLICY

We will gladly accept returns on merchandise within 90 days of the original purchase date. Items must be returned in original packages with all parts and manuals included.

With a Receipt
If original payment was made by: Refund will be given in:
Cash............................................. Cash
Charge Card.................................. Credit to Charge Card
Check, within the last 7 days........... Merchandise Credit
Checks, after 7 days....................... Cash
Merchandise Credit......................... Merchandise Credit
Debit Card..................................... Cash

With a Gift Receipt / .COM Packing Slip

If you are returning an item using a gift receipt or .com packing slip, your refund will be in the form of a merchandise credit.

Without a Receipt

* If the original payment was made with a credit or debit card, we can look up your purchase using our register system and credit your account.
* If the item was purchased from a baby registry, we can look up the purchase using our baby registry system and issue a merchandise credit.
* A driver's license or other valid identification is required to process all returns without a receipt.
* We reserve the right to decline returns without a receipt.

Return Policy for VHS / DVD / Breast Pumps / Monitors / Electronics

We will gladly accept returns with a receipt for VHS, DVD, breast pumps, monitors, and electronics within 45 days of the original purchase date. Items must be returned in original, sealed, and unopened package. If the package has been opened, the item may only be exchanged for the identical item or title.

It is confusing- for online purchases they say 30 days.

If it is a store purchase, it is 90, but 45 for electronics . . .
