axid moms (or even zantac moms)- constipation?

Seems that Axid has caused my son to have constipation. He now only poops every other day or every 3rd day.

Can i give him pear juice? how much? 1 ounce?

Also did any of you have to give the axid or zantac 3 times a day? i feel like 2 times a day isn't enough and it wears off quickly.

My daughter is on zantac three times a day and I feel like it makes no difference for her. Initially I thought it might be causing her to have trouble going to the bathroom and making her really gassy but I took her off it for a day and it made no difference. She was put on Enfamil AR and now Alimentum with rice cereal added in. She had some trouble on the enamel-she went every day but strained all day to go. Now on Alimentum (we are on day three of that) she is having trouble going. Not to mention all of these changes aren't helping her with her reflux at all and she needs to be held 24/7 or she is gagging and choking.
