Average wait time at pediatricians office?
How long do you usually wait for the pediatrician to actually come in and start to examine your child? Where I go, they usually take us in to the exam room pretty quickly, but then they leave us there waiting for what I feel is a ridiculous amount of time. Today it was a full hour. Is that normal? Thinking of switching to a new dr, but if they're all like that l won't bother.

A full hour is ridiculous to me. We usually wait about 20 minutes max.

An hour to sit in an exam room with a child is WAY too long. After 20 minutes I start looking for a nurse to ask if they forgot us. After 30 minutes I would be furious.

Average wait time at pediatricians office?
I've def waited for a while, which I hate cause I have a toddler and a baby that just want to play, but def not an hr. Is there only 1 pediatrician in that office?

In over 4 years I think once we waited over a half hour and the doctor was very apologetic. I'm okay with that knowing things come up and some day I may be the one hoping to bump others in a serious situation. On a regular basis, it's probably more like 5 minutes.

ours has been up to 40 mins but that was when we bitched about being in the waiting room so long bc of walk ins.
since then it's been better
usually max 20 mins.

Sounds like the pediatricians office that I just switched from. Long wait times (like you said even when you get into the exam room you are still waiting) and hard to get appointments.

1 hour, absolute minimum. Usually more like 2.
I used to work in a peds office and saw parents wait upwards of 3 hours.

I think a full hour is ridiculous. If that is the "norm", I would switch.
I don't think I've waited longer than 15-20 minutes.

That's ridiculous. I'd never use that dr, especially for kids! No dr is worth that kind of wait!

Today we waited at least 20 minutes for a well visit, but that is the first time it has ever happened to me. We usually wait 5-10 minutes max.

5-10 minutes. I'm also usually there when it's very quiet. They also run on time and must not overbook.
There is no way I'd wait anywhere close to an hour. Especially with kids!

Average wait time at pediatricians office?
We never wait! I get there, fill out the lead form and get taken right in. A nurse sees us immediately and then the doctor comes in 5-10 minutes later.

If I had a scheduled appointment, then less then 30 minutes is all I would wait. For a same day appointment, I would wait longer. No more then an hour though. Any longer and things just go down hill.

i can count on one hand how many times i have waited longer. 4 of those times i was squeezed in and one time they just were ridiculously busy and the apologized for the wait.

The most I have waited ever (been at same ped for over 10 years) was a half hour /45 minutes in the waiting room or exam room. Typically it's no more then 10 minutes for each

Ha. I'm wondering if we go to the same ped. Most times at least a half hour in the waiting room and then another 20 + min in the room. Our ped is transitioning to a new system so last night I waited an hour and a half!
