how do you know when they are ripe? should they be REALLY soft? or is that past ripe?

I think if they are too soft they are too ripe cus the meat ion them begins to brown in spots. I usually buy them when they give when i push on them, but not when they are smooshy. does that make sense? LOL.

When you squeeze it, it should have a little give to it but should not be too mushy.

Avocados are perfect when they are slightly soft. If they feel too soft they are too old and if they are hard as a rock they are not ripe enough yet. you want to be able to press into it a little while still having it be firm at the same time.
