August due date's progress?
I went to the doctor yesterday..had an internal and finally have some progress. She said I was 1-2 cm dilated and cervix is getting softer after 2 weeks of NOTHING happening. She said his head feels like it still needs to drop further into position. I feel like his head is going jam right out one day so I dunno how much lower he can get! lol. I'm due 8/21.
How are you all doing???

Due August 27th. Went to the doctor today. Feeling great just feel like the baby is hammer heading me in the crouch sometimes. Haven't had any weight gain in a month but doctor says that is normal (thought that was strange). 1 1/2 to 2 cm, dilated 50% effaced.
I wouldn't be concerned... the doctor told me I can have no progress but go into labor the next day. Some people it can be gradual and others it is instant. We are almost there though!

I am 4cm dilated and about 60-70% effaced. The baby is really low. I am due 8/23 but this is my second baby.

I am 39 weeks. At my last appointment (monday the 9th) I was 20% effaced and 1/2 cm dialated. My next appointment is on monday (the 16th) so I guess i'll see how things are going. I am slowly losing my mucous plug but that was mostly after my internal last monday.

I am 39w4d and have no progress. The dr couldn't even strip my membranes because my cervix was too high. I have a feeling I am going to need a c-section... no one in my family ever progressed on their own, I guess we just have small birth canals

i'm 39 weeks 4 days and at my last appt he said i was maaaaaaaaaaybe 1CM dialated and still "thick". i take that to mean theres really nothing happening. although after my internal and everyday since then i've had some mucusy brown tinted dishcarge. so i'm hoping the internal got things going. my next appt is tuesday which is my due date.

I was due on Aug 20 but had the twins on 7/29 at 36w6d due to preeclampsia. I miss this board!

I'm there: about 1cm dilated, 50% effaced, softening at 38 weeks.
Problem is... it sounds like I made no progress from last week.
I wanted to have this baby this weekend 
Guess  has other plans.

I'm in the exact same boat!! I was not at all dialated but somewhat effaced. DR. couldn't strip my membranes  I have a NST on Tuesday (my due date) but am being induced on Thursday if nothing happens before then! Atleast the end is in sight!!

At my 37 week appointment I wasn't dilated or effaced =(, but I was thinning. The baby was weighing 7lbs5oz. I go back on Tuesday for my 38 week visit I'm praying something is going on, I just want to deliver her already. I'll be waking and  all weekend long.

Due 8/19 but I'm being induced TOMORROW!!!!!
Thought I was in labor yesterday with all kinds of contractions all over the place. Turns out I was only 1 cm dilated and I guess softening, but my doctor recommended inducing Saturday so I agreed!
My doctor is very conservative and subscribes to the "on a need-to-know basis" with extra info, but at my last appointment  was "supposedly" 8 pounds so I guess he wants to spare me!
By this time tomorrow I will hopefully be in labor or holding my or  !!

i'm so jealous!! how come you're dr is willing to induce u thursday? mine said i have to wait till i'm 2 weeks past my due date which make me stay pregnant till the 31st and i'm not dealing well with that right now.

I'm 38w1d and at my appointment yesterday the doc told me I was still closed up.... grrr At least he said that the baby is in proper position and he felt the head from just pressing on my abdomen. Hopefully I'll have some progress at my next appointment

39 weeks tomorrow...
Due date the 22nd, however I have a c-section scheduled for during the week due to my placenta previa.
However, everytime I move, I feel like I'm about to go into labor because of the pressure I'm feeling. I keep swearing my water is about to break.

Honestly? I was NOT expecting him to suggest induction AT ALL. We had never even discussed it. I'm not even really sure why he did but I don't think I should complain.....

My doctor also said 2 weeks past due date They said if i go past, I get a sonogram and then get monitored on the labor machines 2x/week. As long as there are no issues, they will wait out the 2 weeks. This little man better come soon... i really don't want to give birth to a 10 lb baby! I have no idea what he weighs now... i haven't had a sono since 29 weeks....if i'm still pregnant next thursday...i'm asking them if there is another way to estimate the weight. I guess if i'm overdue, i'll find out on the sono anyway!

Hi Ladies!!!
I was due on August 20th but gave birth to an adorable and healthy baby girl on August 2nd. The past 2 weeks have been busy but soooooo worth it!! I posted my birth story last night if anyone if interested.
As silly as this may sound, I do miss the feeling of being pregnant.
I wish all of you August mommies a quick and healthy delivery! I will see you all on the parenting board!

I was due yesterday but still havent gone into labor. On Thursday I was at the doctor (39 weeks 6 days) and I was 1cm dialated and 1/2 thinned out. My doc. lets you go a week past your due date. I am hoping to go today or tomorrow. I have another Doc. appoint Tuesday am in case I do not have her by then.

It might be because my baby is HUGE!!! The baby was weighing 8.12 at 39 weeks and the head is almost 10cm which would make for a tight squeeze when you only dialate to about that size... I had a HUGE head as a baby, so I was expecting this to a point... Sorry to hear that your DR won't cooperate I could imagine how frustrated you are!
