Attempting to Put Jordan in Crib for First Time Tomorrow Night - needs prayers, crossed fingers, hugs, advice!!!

So, as some of you know, DS still sleeps in the swing in our room - he was four months last weekChat Icon
I am getting him into the crib tomorrow night - come hell or high water! Don't know if he'll (or I) will last, but I'm going to attempt!

I know he's not going to be comfy, esp because of his reflux - I do have a wedge in the crib. He's pretty much been sleeping in swing without it moving for past month or so at least...baby steps - lol

Do I just go in a million times and give him his paci when he cries? Do I pick him up and rock him?

Any and ALL advice welcome!!! I have no idea how to do thisChat Icon

We had to do this with DS too. He didn't do too bad. The first 2 nights were the worst. He kept waking up. I soothed him and he went back to sleep. The wedge should help with the reflux. DS is such a squirm in the crib, so the wedge was useless for us. Good luck.

I think DS was still eating once at that point during the night, but other than that, yeah, I just went in a million times a night to pop the paci back in. Until he was 7 months and could put it in himself. Chat Icon

DS was about 4 months old when we moved him out of the swing/bouncy seat to the crib.

I haven't tried crib yet, DS is 11 wks, but have you tried adding white noise? My DS sleeps much better with it! I am hoping that it helps in the transition. He also has reflux, so I need to prop the mattress...I think I may start with naps in there. Not sure yet. Going to talk to the ped. about it next week.

I have no advice b/c DS wanted nothing to do with the crib at that age. We really tried to get him in there around 3 months and it was a total nightmare. By night 6, he was waking up every 10-20 minutes the entire night. We gave up. I hope you have better success. Good luck! Chat Icon
