Atlantic City - planning a party

Does anyone know anything about planning a party in Atlantic City? DH is hitting a milestone bday and I was trying to come up w/ something good. We can't afford his dream trip right now, but I thought I could do something in AC. Not sure how much it would be or how I could work it.

I only have a vague sense of what I'd like - just to invite his friends there, maybe get a group room rate (?) and have a party in the room then nice dinner on me, followed by some casino time (or hanging out at the bar/lounge if not gambling).

TIA for any advice, ideas, stories, etc! Chat Icon

Harrahs. They have "The pool"...its a party that goes on to the wee hours of the nite. Sometimes celebs are there.
Also, taj mahal has a club as well.
or Borgata is def a nice relaxing hotel with various levels of pools/spas.
-you can also look up what celebs will be at what hotel. Maybe go to a show. We've seen tons of concerts.

When is his birthday? Summer will obviously be a lot more money than winter. Harrahs, Tropicana and Borgata are good places to start. Contact them to see what kind of deals they can offer. You'll have to know how many people and what you want (club, dinner, suite, etc.).

We looked into group rates- I think you would need at lesat 8 rooms for most of the places.

Like a previous poster mentioned, Harrah's is great- alot of fun! I would deafintly go there. Even if not for the actual pool party- the pool itself is just alot of fun.
