i dont think it makes you show later, but i know a few people that told me it took them longer to feel the baby.

Re: Aterior Placenta

I have one and at 22 weeks I've only felt sporadic flutters like seriously will go a week without feeling her. Dr said by 25 I should feel her more regularly.

I also started to show very early and this is out first pregnancy

Re: Aterior Placenta

I dot think it has to do with having an anterior placenta, but I really didn't show until 23 weeks or so.

It definitely has to do with feeling the baby move though. I started feeling the slightest movements around 20 weeks and now at about 27 weeks I feel her sometimes but nothing crazy.

Re: Aterior Placenta

It has nothing to so with how/when you will show. I showed very early and now I'm carrying big. I was told I may feel the baby later and more muffled but I felt him at a normal time and these days it's very strong movements, I can't imagine it being stronger.

This was exactly me- I showed really really late, but I doubt it had anything to do with where my placenta was.
But when it came to movement- I barely ever felt her move or kick- even at the end.
I never saw my belly move from the outside and DH could never feel her kick from the outside.
Sometimes I'd be getting a sono and the tech would see her move or kick and be like "WOW did you feel that? " And I'd be like- "feel what?"

Ditto. I didn't show until much later either but I doubt it was due to the placement of the placenta. Earlier on I just looked like I ate big lunch. And I would get so worried about DD's movements, I would drink some chocolate milk, or OJ and I would feel her movements.
