Indoor temps or outdoor temps? If the outdoor temps are low-50's I will be turning it on. Inside the house when it's around 60 I turn it on (usually turn it up to 65 or 66).

Outdoor, sorry I should have been more specific.

It really depends for us. Our house doesn't retain an ounce of heat, it's like a brick igloo. Chat Icon We do have lots of windows, though, that do a good job of drawing sunlight in and heating it up a bit during the day. We're still comfy and haven't turned the heat on yet. It was in the low 60's here today. We're trying to hold out as long as possible. Layers, layers, layers!

This! haha but for us it has to be a 70% of the day thing.

But we have central heat so normally if its outdoors mid to upper 50s we set ours to 74. Seems with our laminate floor it takes more to heat up.

Right now our nights are in the 40s (yep in TX) but we don't turn the heat on.. we just get extra covers and watch AJ's monitor for temps. If her room temp falls below 70 we turn the heat on.

I miss NY winters.

TX winters drive me batty! Chat Icon Overnight its in the 40s, day time its upper 80s. Can't seem to ever level off until Feb. We going through a very strange cold front right now for us. But its passing so we'll be back to normal soon (better be cause our weather generally mirrors Orlando and that's our destination for one week from today!)

We (and by we I mean me since my DH can tolerate cold and I can not) turn on the heat when the inside temperature is in the low 60s. Our house is not very good at retaining heat which is good in the summer, but bad pretty much any other time.

We have had our heat on almost all week and I assume it will not be turned off until May.

We haven't turned it on yet. We never use it at night because it gets too warm. We're actually still sleeping with the air condition on because it's too hot otherwise. The heat will probably go on when it gets to the 30's/low 40's outside during the day.

When inside temp drops below 63 we turn the heat on. So far I put in on yesterday morning because it was 61 in here. Last year we kept the heat between 68-70. This year will be lower because we spent just over 3k in oil bills since mid November 2010

In the fall when my thermostat indoors goes under 70 I turn it on (set to 70). In the summer I cant go under 72 or I feel sick. In the winter I think I can handle down to 68.

We have a digital thermostat that is always set for certain temps depending on the time of day. If it ever drops below a certain temp in the house, it automatically goes on. We never turn it off.

I guess if the house went below 60 during the day. I can not stand having the heat cranked and going all the time so we wait as long as possible.
