DS is rolling like a maniac and I'm sure the next thing will be sitting up or pulling up on the rails. just wondering when you lowered yours?

Re: at what stages (months) did you lower the crib mattress?

I can't remember exactly, but DS could sit up on his own at 4 months, so we probably lowered it a bit then. By the time he was 6 or 7 months old, he could sit up on his own (getting up from lying down without assistance.) So it got lowered even more, probably all the way down. He was pulling up to stand within a month or so afterwards.

My advice: If you *think* it's time, do it. Better safe than sorry!

yeah I agree...I don't wanna chance it. he's a little wobbly when we put him to sit on his own...but he can't sit up on his own without being placed that way...yet. I'm still going to lower it bc this kids is a fast learner

We lowered it when DD started sitting up by herself around 4-5 months and then again when she started standing, which was 6 months.

If I were to do it again, I would just lower all the way the first time. We lowered it once when she could sit (around 5-6 months) but then had to lower it again around 7-8 months when she was standing....and it is a PAIN to lower!!!

My guy was pulling up on the crib rails starting on his 5th month birthday. I moved it down after that. I wasn't expecting him to do it that young.

DS is 7 months and we need to lower it. I won't be able to reach down to put him in w/o dropping him a little, though. I have a tough time now at its highest setting Chat Icon I ma 5'4" and IDK how people shorter than me do it.

DD#1 could sit up around 4 months so we lowered it a little then, then she started pulling up at 6 months so we completely lowered it then.

I'm very short and by the time we had to lower the crib we were putting the girls in awake so it wasn't a problem putting them in. What about getting a step stool for right next to the crib so you can step up when you have to put him in. That way you can reach over easier.

We didn't put Loey in the crib until he was 6 months old, so we started on the second highest level. At 6.5 months, he was pulling to stand so we put it on the lowest setting at that time.
