At what age did you "forward face" in the car seat?

I didn't turn my son FF until a month before his 4 th birthday. A child is 500 times safer when they are RFing!! And I only changed him because he outgrew his seat height wise.
The minimum is 2 years, but car seat techs and the National Highway Safety people recommend that the closer you can get to age 4 the better. At 10 months, the thought of changing them shouldn't even be crossing your mind!!
And their legs being scrunched up doesn't bother them at all. Their joints aren't fully formed. My son is now FF at 4.5, and when he goes to sleep in his seat, he'll still scrunch em up as if he was RFing. Lol.

Wow, thanks for posting. I watched the 1st video and that was enough for me! I was planning on keeping DD rear facing till 2 but now I will wait as long as possible.

Mine did. He started around age 2.

Joel's story is what made me want to continue rear facing my son past age 2. This was just when car seats were coming out with higher weight limits and so on. My son had actually outgrown his original convertible seat around 2.5, but I purchased another one just so I could RF till age 4. And I pretty much made my goal....we fell a month short (he's still not even close to hitting the weight limit, but I somehow have a tall kid who outgrew the seat RFing height wise).
I highly recommend the Facebook group called "Car Seats for the Littles." It's a group filled with car seat techs and you'll learn so much!!

Mine did. He started around age 2.
Same here. DD literally turned 2 earlier this month and just started climbing into her seat on her own.
