At how many weeks did you tell work?
I'm only 8w4d but i cant remember the last time when I was pg with DS when I told work. I think maybe 11 weeks? Does that seem fair? Too soon? When did you let your boss know?

This baby 20 weeks I dont know why i waited so long I think cause im a little older and was more nervous this time around.

I told my boss at 12 weeks because it was right before he was leaving for the entire month of December and I knew that by the time we got back in January it might be obvious.
Many people wait as long as they possibly can - but I don't know why...

I am 11 wks now and plan on telling my bosses at about 14 wks. I don't really know why I am waiting, I just feel more comfortable doing it then.

I told my boss at 11 weeks. I think its a personal decision. Do you think your boss would treat you any differently once he or she knows? Thats usually why people wait...

With my first, I waiting until I was slightly showing.... No rhyme or reason, it just started to become obvious.
This time around, #3, I didn't really come out to anyone... I am only part time. I told a few people here and there, and then it became super obvious and no one wanted to ask

I was about 8 weeks when I told my two Principals only because my husbands grandmother had passed away and at the funeral the priest outted me in the eulogy and one of the parents from the school I teach at was there so I wanted to tell my Principals before they found out through the grapevine. If I could have i would have waited another few weeks, but we waited to tell the rest of the teachers until I was just about 12 weeks.

With ds #1 I told my boss at 12w. With this kiddo I told him at 14w, but that's only because we didn't tell our families until I was 13w & we were all on a cruise together...if not for the vaca reveal I would have told work at 12w again...

A few people knew right away b/c they knew I was doing IVF (I missed a lot of work, so some people just needed to know). I told everyone else at 13 weeks.

I actually work for my husbands company so he obviously knew as soon as I found out - but we didn't tell the rest of our co-workers until 18 weeks.
I think you can tell your boss early now if you want so he understands if your tired or making bathroom trips! But i think 11 weeks seems fair to tell the rest of your co-workers.

I totally think this is smart. I worried about this too but there was no way I could avoid telling my bosses since the increases go in october.
And I do think it affected how much of an increase I got although I can't prove it
