are you taking any kind of classes?
Are you taking any prenatal classes? I'm on the fence because my hospital charges for them and I don’t want to pay $200 for a class if it's not worth it. What are you girls doing?

Re: are you taking any kind of classes?
When we had DD, we took everything offered at the hospital she was born at. I'm so glad we did. We both learned so much. This time we took a class for multiples (since we're having twins) and DD was born more than 4 years ago, so we feel like we've forgotten alot. They did cost $$, but we feel it was worth it, especially the infant CPR.

Re: are you taking any kind of classes?
I only took them b/c my know it all - control freak husband insisted on it -
It was good for a laugh, honestly. I'm surprised we didn't get booted out of 'class' for behaving like immature 14 year olds ..........but it didn't really tell me anything I didn't already read in a book or know from talking to friends -

Re: are you taking any kind of classes?
I'm taking 4 free classes at the hospital - infant care, labor and delivery and breastfeeding.
I'm also signed up for lamaze/childbirth classes as suggested by my doctor's office - and those are for a fee.

Re: are you taking any kind of classes?
I took Lamaze through my doctor's office, which is taught by one of the L&D nurses from the hospital. I did get a lot of info out of it, but even if I hadn't learned anything new from it, I liked the fact that she kept telling us how it is done at the hospital I'm delivering at. Every hospital is a little different and things that one does might not be done at another, so at least we won't be going in asking well why is this being done or why isn't that being done.

Re: are you taking any kind of classes?
We're taking a pregnancy basics class at my Drs office but the breastfeeding, lamaze and baby basics there's a fee for....still haven't signed up yet. Was just looking this morning to see what we'll actually sign up for. Really don't want to pay wish they cost less $$

Re: are you taking any kind of classes?
We are taking Lamaze which costs money. We already did infant CPR which we paid for. We also have to take a class about the Birthing Center if we would like to deliver there and there's a nominal fee for that. And lastly we're taking a baby care class that also has a nominal fee. These are all through my hospital. So far I think they've been well worth it, but I guess we'll see in the end.

Re: are you taking any kind of classes?
So far the classes I'm taking are through the hospital and they're free. I'm thinking of maybe doing a Bradley class, so that would be out of pocket.

Re: are you taking any kind of classes?
we took a class at the hospital...it was $200 but seemed worth it to me because it took away a lot of my anxiety about the whole process.
I am also taking a breast feeding class at the hospital that costs $35 but i have heard really good things about it.
