Are you careful about wearing the same thing twice
to work within a certain time frame?
i'm totally anal about it, i wont' even wear the same pair of black pants twice in 2 weeks. One girl in the office will wear the same pair of pants twice in one week all the time and it drives me insane

Maybe the girl in the office financially cannot afford the clothing budget that you have. So if she mixes it up with different tops, I do not see a problem w/it.
After I had my DD, my preggo clothes did not fit and I was not about to go and spend $$$ on a whole new wardrobe, so I bought 3 pairs of dress pants on sale for work. I wore those same three pants every week (with different tops) until I lost some weight.
All I am saying is if that is how YOU feel great, but cut your co-worker some slack. You do not know what you would do if you were in her position. KWIM?

When I worked I had 3-4 pairs of pants that I wore every week. I would change up the tops and would also throw in a skirt sometimes. Honestly I was the only one that actually looked professional and not frumpy (except the few times while I was pg).

I was not attacking the girl, i was just simply stating the way i feel and flat out stated that i am anal about it and asked if other people were like that.
i know the girl very well, its not a financial or post pregnancy situation.

As for neutral pants (especially black), I don't really care too much.

Same here. I only own like three pairs of pants (all solid, neutral colors) so I often wind up wearing the same pair twice in one week. I'm okay with that.

I wear the same pants all the time, cleaned of course. I have very few clothes that fit for work since I was pregnant and cannot afford to buy new slacks and tops. I would love to have enough work pants that I don't have to wear the same ones for two weeks, but I do not have that many.

Me too. I would love not to have to, but I can't afford to have a totally different outfit for every day of the week.

I tend to buy and wear the same pants. i have pairs of almost all the pants I buy, so to an outsider it could like I wear the same pants every other day. I do try to not wear the same shirt every week. My shirts and sweaters get a two or so week rotation. Dress down day is different, because i only have 1 or 2 pairs of jeans and sometimes i have to wear them once a week.

I agree, I wear the same black pants 2 times a week with a different shirt...it is not a fashion show and until I drop these last 25 lbs, I am NOT buying new clothes
I do not get why this would "bother" you unless you are paying for her clothes

I always found this topic interesting.
Men do not own 10 suits. DH has 3 good one, 1 back up one and khakis for Fridays.
I think as women, we CANNOT conceive wearing so little clothing.
I used to think like you. That it looked "strange" if someone wore the same clothes the same week. And I used to own a lot of clothes for this very reason. I thought people would think I did not have enough money to buy more clothes.
Over the years, I revised my thoughts on this. I found I would wear the same clothes anyway. Especially the pants. I would just mixed and matched with different tops and jackets and shoes/purses. For a different look.

I usually do wear the same pants a couple of times a week. I don't have that many different shirts that I like either, usually they are button down and I have like 7 different colors, pretty boring

I think this is exactly what its about. It's very freeing to give up worrying what other people think about you...not that I never worry..but I ALWAYS try not to worry about things like this. As long as I don't smell or am visibly dirty I'm cool with wearing the same pants etc.

Actually, I try not to wear the same stuff, but I will re-wear pants. I guess I 'air' them out but it keeps them better. But complete outfits are not repeated.

I usually wear the same pants twice in a week. There are only so many colors you can have, and I dont feel like spending 80 dollars on two pairs of black pants. I usually dont repeat tops for 2 weeks, so its not like I wear the same outfit.

there is this guy at my job who has week outfits. and I don't mean he wears the same outfit on Mondays, Tues, etc.
he wears 1 outfit ALL week long  
to answer your Q, yes, I am also anal about the time span between outfits. sometimes I wish I were a guy. they have it so easy!

I used to be more anal about when I wore things and I used to plan it out. I still try not to wear things that close together but since I had DD, some things don't look so great. I am in the process of losing some weight now, though, so I am adding some more clothes back into the rotation.
As far as pants, I will wear the same pair twice in a week if it is necessary. I didn't always but since being pg, I have to do what I have to. No one notices or cares at my job. I still look more put together than most of my coworkers.

same here. i would never wear the same top twice in 1 week. however, i don't pay enough attention to what other people wear to work to notice if they did.

me too.
I also have about 3 pairs of 2 different black pants that I always wear.
I hope I'm not driving anyone crazy at work bc they might think I am always wearing the same pants!

i am having "fit" issues right now, but even in the past, i would wear the same black pants to work about 2-3x a week with different tops. my pants that are more easily recognizable i will only wear once a week.

dresses and tops yes - pants, no way. I have lots of pants but sometimes my favorite black ones come out more than 1x per week. I can't imagine any of my co-workers watching that carefully to notice the repeat. I know I never would on them!
