We didn't buy one b/c we have one that we pass down in the family. I was really excited to use it for sentimental reasons and DD hated it. She was in there for ~3-4 weeks, but never really had a good night's sleep in it so we started putting her in her crib and it was a much better option for her and us. If we would have bought a bassinet I would have thought it was a waste.
